Infrastructure

  • Electricity
    • Generator (800W, 1 gallon tank lasts about 4 hours, makes 3kWh), unreliable, so we got 2 :)
    • Deep cycle batteries (about 1kWh per cycle) - probably need a bank of at least 3
    • Need major power about 6 hours a day (8pm-2am lights, 1pm-3pm, 9pm-11pm music)
    • Power needed:
      • 300 watt music (@110v)
      • 300 watt lights (@12v, LED visible and UV)
      • minor: chargers for phones and cameras (mix 110v/12v)
      • minor: swamp coolers
      • total let's say 3kWh per day
    • So, a gallon of gasoline per day. Comes in 5 gallon canisters, so 2-3 canisters should do it (have 1 canister)
    • Voltage drop/wire sizing for 12v: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/amps-wire-gauge-d_730.html
    • Generator to battery charger is 110v circuit with regular extension cords
  • Water
    • 55 gallon drums, in fact one is probably enough for shower water for several people (1 gallon per shower, have 1 drum)
    • No shower tent/sprayer(s)/misters - misters can eat many gallons per hour...
  • Propane
    • 20lb tanks
    • distribution tree/stove/lamp
    • 2 tanks should last us all BM, unless we do poofers, then it's 2-3 tanks a day :)
  • Refrigeration
    • giant foam freezer box
      • plywood frame
        • sizing:
          • 25 gallons of ice cream by volume
          • 5 gallons of pre-cooked jello
          • at least 100lb of dry ice, close to 10 gallons in volume
          • fill the rest with water bottles
          • 7.5gallons per cubic foot, so we want at least 6 cubic feet, 1.5'x2'x2' inside
      • 6" or 8" thick walls, 2.5'x3'x3' outside dimensions
      • hinged top lid with a separate tiny access window for quick grabs
    • LN2 paraphernalia
